DUSCC suffered a narrow 7 run defeat in the game against Strathmore in which both innings were dominated by a good half-century from an opener. DUSCC gave all its players 2 overs each with the ball and everyone emerged with respectable figures, although Duncan Heather’s first wickets for the club at a cost of only 2 runs and Gregor Kiddie’s 2 wickets for 12 on debut were particularly useful contributions.
Strathie’s total of 120 proved just beyond DUSCC although an excellent 57 from Moiz (also on debut), with 7 4s and a 6, kept us in the hunt until late overs from Strathie’s useful quick bowler and leg-spinner restricted us.
