Report
Not much point in dwelling on this one; we were thrashed by a Strathmore team that have thrashed us before even when we have had more regular players turning out. Blair Smith showed his commitment to the cause by shedding a copious amount of blood on the pitch when top-edging a pull shot into his right eye; Colin Reid, playing on the same pitch for DHSFP a few days later, wondered what the odd marks were on the ground… before that Blair and Duncan Heather had scored some lower order runs to help us reach 86-8, having been 29-6 earlier, but the fact that Extras were comfortably top scorer says a lot. Strathmore knocked off the runs in fewer than 10 overs, obviously having a pressing engagement later in the evening.
