Report
DUSCC won a close and exciting game by 3 runs at Kirriemuir, an achievement having at one stage been 16-4 batting first. Ross Mackay had a superb all-round game, firstly scoring a vital 19* at the latter end of the DUSCC innings – Scott Rodgers (20) and Ragav Ramalingam (11) also chipping in to set a defendable score – and then taking 4 Kirrie wickets at a cost of just 11 runs. Having made a solid start and reaching 48-1, Kirrie then lost 5 wickets for just 2 runs, Ross and Richard Adelman inducing the collapse. Lower order runs however meant that Kirrie entered the last over needing 7 runs to win with 2 wickets left. Ragav bowled a brilliant last over, taking the final 2 wickets to fall and conceding only 3 runs. Scott Rodgers, in a welcome return behind the stumps, took one catch and made 3 stumpings.
