Report

DUSCC managed an excellent last-gasp win, successfully chasing a steep-looking target of 136 with an over to spare. After Almond Valley got off to a flier, putting on 60 for the first wicket in quick time, tight change bowling from Steve Boarder and Tristan Allen reined them back. Excellent catches, one one-handed by Arun Nair and the other off his own bowling by Steve Cummings (catch the ball or count your teeth) were highlights later in the innings. Steady contributions from the DUSCC top order were not quite keeping up with the required rate until a rapid, match-turning innings of 25 from Tristan made DUSCC favourites. Scott Rodgers took on the role of finisher and saw DUSCC to the win.
