Profile

Viviana obtained her MSc degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bari in 2021. Her thesis focused on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of dual CB2/HDAC ligands. In 2022, she pursued a II Level Master’s in “Drug Design and Development” at the University of Pavia and completed a six-month traineeship at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anna K. H. Hirsch, working on the synthesis and characterization of novel Human Antigen R (HuR) protein ligands. In March 2023, she began her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on the design and development of PROTACs targeting neuroinflammatory pathways as potential therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease. As a visiting PhD student, she joined the Ciulli Group in March 2024 to further expand her expertise in Targeted Protein Degradation. In her spare time, Viviana enjoys watching movies and cooking.
