Profile

My name is Tom Webb and I am originally from Guildford, Surrey. I completed my MChem at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University in 2018. My Master’s project consisted of the synthesis of novel peptidomimetic motifs that could be used to expand the range of conformational space available in DNA-encoded compound libraries. Since then, I have been living in Gothenburg, Sweden, working at AstraZeneca on their R&D Graduate Programme. I had the opportunity to work extensively in the PROTAC field throughout my time there which lead to my desire to join the Ciulli group in October 2020. I am sociable and love exercise, in particular playing football and getting out for hikes. If you can get me away from the football pitch, I also enjoy music and play the guitar and piano.
