Sarah is from Leeds and graduated in 2019 with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Manchester. She spent a year working in the High-Throughput Biology group at Boehringer Ingelheim in Germany. During this year she worked on adapting and completing an anaerobic bacterial screen for inhibitors to treat chronic kidney disease. She joined the 4-year Wellcome Trust PhD program in October 2020 and undertook her first rotation in the Ciulli laboratory at the end of 2020. She is currently doing her PhD project jointly between our group and the group of Ron Hay. In her spare time she enjoys running, cooking and sewing.
