Samuel is originally from Liverpool and spent most of his primary and secondary education there until moving to Dundee for his undergraduate studies. He is a Biological Chemistry & Drug Discovery Honours student within the Ciulli lab for the academic year 2025-26, where he is working closely with Dr Roberta Ibba to assist the KOODAC team in their ongoing fight against cancers induced by Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase, following on from his summer placement within the MCP group and previous research experience in Cryptosporidium Parvum in the School of Life Sciences, Dundee.
Outside of his studies, Samuel is the captain of the University Karate Club, and unlike other members of Chemistry lab four, he is not a Taylor Swift fan 😉
