Profile

My name is Zoe Rutter and I’m originally from Preston in Lancashire. I studied for a BSc in Biochemistry at Newcastle University before undertaking a PhD in the Structural Biology Lab at Newcastle University as part of a BBSRC DTP. I was supervised by Professor Rick Lewis and my PhD research focused on the division of Gram-positive bacteria, specifically the structural and biophysical characterisation of key division proteins. I joined the group in April 2021 as a structural biologist and biophysicist in the PROTAC collaboration project with Boehringer Ingelheim. In my spare time I like to play football, watch sports and I enjoy painting and pyrography.
