Profile

I was born in Novi Sad, Serbia, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in molecular biology working on expression and in silico characterization of frequenin, which is a yeast homolog of human NCS-1 protein under the supervision of Dr. Andjelka Celic and Dr. Edward Petri. In 2018, I moved to Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB) in Prague, where I worked in Structural biology group under the supervision of Dr. Pavlina Maloy Rezacova where I utilized X-ray crystallography to study medicinally relevant enzymes (such as CDK2, PNP and Galectins) and their inhibitors as a part of drug discovery projects. I obtained PhD in Physical Chemistry from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 2023.
