Profile
Sohini joined the Ciulli group in November 2021 as a computational drug design and molecular modelling scientist on the PROTAC collaboration projects with Boehringer Ingelheim. She received her undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (India) and an M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmacoinformatics at NIPER-Hajipur, India. During her doctoral training in the Late Prof. N. Srinivasan’s group at the Molecular Biophysics Unit, Indian Institute of Science, she used computational techniques to understand various aspects of protein-small molecule interactions and applied her learning in different drug discovery/repurposing projects. From 2011 to 2014, Sohini worked in the Quality Assurance department of Fresenius Kabi Oncology Ltd., Kalyani, India. When not in a dry lab, Sohini tries to be a wet lab scientist at her home, experimenting with recipes inspired by different cuisines and cultures around the world. She also enjoys travelling, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.
