Profile

Shakil joined the Ciulli group as a Cell Biologist as part of the PROTAC collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim. Shakil completed his master’s degree in Drug Discovery at the University of Aberdeen before pursing a PhD at Aston University under the supervision of Dr Xuming Zhang and Professor Gavin Woodhall. Here he focussed on cell and molecular biology techniques to understand the role of IQGAP1 in chronic pain. In his spare time, Shakil enjoys playing and watching football.
