My name is Petr Zhmurov and I am originally from Moscow, Russia. I completed my PhD in organic chemistry at Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry (RAS) in 2017. Previously I was employed as a postdoctoral scientific researcher in the Prof. Mikhail Krasavin group (Saint Petersburg State University, Russia). My research was focused on the hit-to-lead optimization of PARP-2 inhibitors (in collaboration with the BIOCAD company). Regarding my other research experience in medicinal chemistry, I was also focused on the development of a new type of selective Carbonic Anhydrase inhibitors. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and playing video games.
