Xingui completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University, and her master’s degree in organic chemistry at East China Normal University. She pursued her PhD study with Prof. Guangrong Zheng at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she designed, synthesized, and evaluated delta-tocotrienol analogues as radio-protectors. During her PhD study, she was also involved in the discovery of piperlongumine and its analogues as senolytic agents. Upon completing her PhD degree, she moved to University of Florida to begin her postdoc training, where she designed, synthesized, and characterized PROTAC molecules targeting BCL-XL/BCL-2 for degradation. Since January 2021, she joined Ciulli’s lab as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to further pursue research in the PROTAC field. In her spare time, she likes making hand craft, running, and cooking.
