I am Vittoria Zoppi and I come from Imperia, in Italy. I obtained my degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Genoa in July 2015, defending a research thesis based on Cosmetic Chemistry and Green Chemistry under the supervision of Prof.ssa Carla Villa. In November 2015 I started a PhD at the University of Genova, course in Science and Technology of Chemistry and Materials (curriculum in Pharmaceutical, Nutritional and Cosmetic Sciences) under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Spallarossa. The broad research theme of this PhD program is the design, synthesis and evaluation of the biological activity of compounds of potential pharmaceutical interest. As part of my PhD project, in January 2016 I started a 1-year stage at Nerviano Medical Sciences (Nerviano, MI, Italy), working on a preliminary study on PROTACs. I decided to join the Ciulli group as an opportunity to improve my knowledge in organic chemistry and to learn more in chemical biology, focusing on the area of targeted protein degradation. In my free time I love going to the gym, reading, and travelling to discover new things.
