Thomas is a second year Biochemistry undergraduate student at the University of Dundee who has recently been accepted onto the EASTBIO Research Experience Placement scheme, a program intending to develop the laboratory skills and etiquette of its candidates. With a keen interest in organic chemistry and cell biology, he’s currently working on a project that is developing tools for cell-based assays into BET-Protein degradation caused by PROTACs through the development of shRNA knockdown sequences for VHL and CRBN. When not working or studying, he enjoys reading, writing, sports, the outdoors and listing.
