Siying obtained her MChem at the University of Sheffield and completed her final year research project under the supervision of Professor Nick Williams. She then moved to the Chemical Synthesis Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Bristol for her PhD under the supervision of Professors Craig Butts and Varinder Aggarwal. Her work combined chemical synthesis, computational modelling and NMR spectroscopy to study the 3D molecular conformations of flexible small molecules with high accuracy. In October 2018, she joined the AC-BI team as a synthetic chemist to develop novel PROTACs.
