Mattia comes from Turin, in the north of Italy, where he graduated in 2013 in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies. He started his Ph.D. program at the University of Turin in January 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Bertinaria in medicinal chemistry field, focusing on the synthesis of NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitors. He is also involved in the synthesis of small molecules modulating DNA-methylation. He joined Ciulli group in order to learn more about chemical biology and structural biology and explore the universe of Protein-Protein Interactions.
In his free time he likes playing volleyball, theatre (both seeing and making), traveling, going out with old and new friends.
