Some notable details of my biography are that I was trained as a mechanical engineer in Germany from 2003 to 2006 and began my academic career after that. I took a gap year 3 years later during which I taught English in China. Just after that I came to Dundee where I attended College for an HNC in Applied Sciences. The year after I entered the University of Dundee directly into second year as a Biological Sciences undergraduate student. I recently spent one semester at the National University of Singapore where my curriculum focused mostly on biochemistry and bioinformatics. For my Summer placement, I received a James Black Prize Vacational Scholarship by the College of Life Sciences which enables me to gather practical experience in the Ciulli lab for 10 weeks this summer.
