Jake completed his MChem at the University of Manchester followed by his PhD at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Ian Paterson. He then joined Syngenta as a postdoctoral research chemist before being made a senior research chemist. Jake then decided to pursue medicinal chemistry research to develop new drug leads for Alzheimer’s disease, which led to three and a half years of postdoctoral research in Canada. Having completed his postdoctoral work Jake has now returned to the UK to further pursue medicinal chemistry research.
