Coming from Cornwall, Jack first undertook a FND in Chemistry and Biology at the University of Sussex before completing a BSc in Pharmacology at the University of Dundee. During his honours year Jack undertook a meta-analysis into the comparable efficacy of SSRIs and SNRIs affecting long-term relapse rates of Major Depressive Disorder. Following this he progressed onto the integrated masters (MSci Pharmacology) where he is working to validate novel target protein ligands to enable chemically induced proximity approaches. This work is ultimately aimed providing new ways to interrogate and treat neurodegenerative diseases. Away from education Jack is an avid sports fan, and whislt particularly interested in football and field hockey, will watch or give almost any sport a go! Otherwise, the rest of his time is often spent with his fiancé and 2 miniature dachshunds.
