My name is Guilherme and I am from São Paulo, Brazil. As an undergraduate student I worked with the synthesis of new ligands for thyroid hormone receptors and in my Masters I worked with the development of new synthetic methodologies to obtain cyanamides and tetrazoles, aiming to produce a new series of PPARgamma ligands, both projects under the supervision of Dr Mirela Sairre. I decided to join the Ciulli group as an opportunity to learn more about the biological and biochemical aspect of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, also being able to expand my knowledge in organic synthesis. On my free time I like to listen to music, go to concerts, play videogames, travel to new places and have fun with my friends and family.
