Enrique was born in Costa Rica, but was living and studying in Munich for the past 5 years. During his studies he worked as a lab intern at the Dietz group for biomolecular nanotechnology. He decided to join the lab in June 2012 for his master thesis, to learn more about drug design and protein-ligand interactions. Currently, he is studying and assessing the selectivity and binding affinities of small molecule chemical probes on different bromodomains. Outside the lab he enjoys swimming, skiing, travelling and spending time with friends.
