David finished his MSc. in Biochemistry in University of Coimbra, Portugal and now has a four-year fellowship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. His purpose is to exploit a combination of biophysical and structural studies with fragment based small molecule screening and drug design, to effectively target native multi-protein complexes interfaces. Solution NMR will be used as the main screening tool for the hetero-trimeric protein complex pVHL:EloC:EloB (VCB) and to develop protein-protein inhibitors. Outside from the lab, he enjoys playing guitar, music and traveling.
