Profile

Claudia studied chemistry at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen in Germany and undertook her master thesis in the group of Prof. Peter Schreiner. During her studies, she carried out a research stay at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with Prof. Ilan Marek. Upon finishing her undergraduate studies, Claudia moved to the RWTH Aachen University joining the group of Prof. Franziska Schoenebeck for her doctorate. In her doctoral research, she explored transition metal complexes in odd oxidation states and their implementation as catalysts in organic synthesis combining mechanistic experiments and computational studies. In January 2021, Claudia moved to Dundee and joined the Ciulli group to develop novel PROTACs. In her spare time, Claudia enjoys hiking, exploring new places as well as exploring the Middle-Eastern cuisine.
