Past Member To and From Dates: August 2022 -August 2023 (ACBI Associate Scientist)

Alex completed his Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of York in 2022, after carrying out his final year MChem research project at the University of Seville, under the supervision of Prof. Inmaculada Robina, as part of the INTEGRATA project. The project focused on the synthesis of anti-tumour NAMPT inhibitors and their potential for incorporation into antibody-drug conjugates for cancer therapy. During his time in Seville, he developed a passion for drug discovery, whilst enjoying becoming (almost!) fluent in Spanish. Alex moved north of the border to join the group within the AC-BI team in August 2022 as a Medicinal chemist. In his spare time, he is a keen tennis player, football supporter, runner and gym-goer. He also enjoys travelling and learning new languages.
