My name is Adam Bond and I am from The Wirral, located in the North West of England. I am currently in the first year of my 4 year PhD course. In June 2018, I graduated with a Master’s in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry. As part of my final year project, I worked closely with the Northern Institute of Cancer Research under the supervision of Dr Ian Hardcastle. The aims of the project were to synthesise a series of MDM2-PROTACs to target the Androgen receptor, with the hope to induce proteasomal dependent degradation. This project has inspired me to further my understanding of PROTACs, and has led me to join the Ciulli group for my PhD. In my spare time I enjoy watching/playing football, going to the gym and going out with friends.
