Maria grew up in Rome, where she completed both her BSc and MSc in Chemistry at the University of Rome “La Sapienza.”
In 2018, she moved to St Andrews, Scotland, where she completed a PhD in Physics, focusing on the structural investigation of RNA using EPR spectroscopy.
After about a year working as an NMR technician at the University of St Andrews, she had the opportunity to join the CeTPD as a Senior Chemistry Technician.

Outside the lab, Maria enjoys going to the gym, baking, travelling, and spending time on art-related projects.
