Alexandra is originally from Fairlie, a small village on the west coast of Scotland. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery from the University of Dundee in June 2022. She then undertook a Master’s Project in the Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation under the supervision of Prof. Alessio Ciulli, where she worked on the development of the next generation of the inducible degron system “BromoTag”. Since September 2023, she rejoined the Ciulli group as a PhD student. Outside of research, she is a flautist who enjoys socialising, travelling and learning Italian.
