Partner Programme

IWWWFB 2024 welcomes all delegate partners and families! A partner programme is provided to explore St Andrews (our host city), the surrounding countryside, the cities of Dundee, Edinburgh, and Stirling, as well as aspects of Scottish culture. Please find the programme below with details to be updated here closer to the conference. All partner programme transportation, meals, and any booking fees are included with partner programme registration.

Sunday, 14 April

Guided walking tour of St Andrews, including the town’s main sights, history, and heritage, plus a visit to the Old Course and lessons in golf history. The tour will end at the famous Swilkan Bridge at the Old Course. The group will then have the opportunity to play a round of putting golf at the historic Himalayas Putting Green. Tour highlights include:

  • St Andrews Cathedral
  • St Andrews Castle
  • The University of Saint Andrews
  • St. Salvator’s Chapel
  • The Old Course and the Swilkan Bridge

Monday, 15 April

Visit to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The group will take the train to Waverley Station in Edinburgh, providing a tour of the Fife countryside and the famous Forth Bridge along the way. Time in Edinburgh will be a self-guided walking tour, with opportunity to explore a few shops and cafes on Victoria Road and Cockburn Street, as well as the Royal Mile. The group will take in the architecture and culture of the historic city, while visiting some of its most famous sites:

  • Balmoral Hotel
  • Princes Street and the Scott Monument
  • Scottish National Gallery
  • Princes Street Gardens
  • Edinburgh Castle
  • The Royal Mile
  • Medieval Old Town and the Grassmarket Neighbourhood
  • St. Giles Cathedral

Tuesday, 16 April

In the morning, the group will visit Stirling, the former capital city of Scotland and once considered the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. It is protected by Stirling Castle, the home to many Scottish and English kings and queens. The group will explore the town, including:

  • Guided tour of Stirling Castle
  • Visit to the Church of the Holy Rude
  • Exploration of the city centre

In the evening, the group will join the delegates to the city of Dundee for the IWWWFB Banquet Dinner, including:


Wednesday, 17 April

Whiskey Distillery Tour at Kingsbarns Distillery, a local asset to Fife, located in restored and preserved historic farm buildings. The tour will be an introduction to Scotch whisky, with a guided tour of the distillery and a visit to the tasting rooms to sample two Kingsbarns single malts.
