Prizes

As the proud winners of the University of Dundee’s Honorary Graduates’ Inclusive Practice Award 2021, we are using some of our prize funds to award new graduates, and postgraduates annually at graduation, for their outstanding contribution to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) – whether this be through practice, research, or service activity.

Our 2021 graduate award was unanimously selected as Chenoa Beedie, for her outstanding contribution to EDI through her student directorship of equality at DJCAD. Chenoa carried out a huge amount of work in this area, including research, curation, alongside being a point of contact for anybody with EDI concerns. A huge and well deserved congratulations Chenoa!

Our 2021 postgraduate award was awarded to Heather Downie (MSc A&VFX). Heather has won this because her film ‘Coping with Anxiety’ dealt with mental health issues and found an accessible and creative way to interpret the book ‘An Introduction to Coping with Anxiety’ by Brenda Hogan and Leonora Brosan through motion graphics with character animation.  Huge congratulations to Heather!
