"Pratiba Parma's Sari Red (1988) is a poetic video tribute to Kalbinder Kaur Hayre, a Young Asian woman brutally murdered in an unprovoked racist attack in the north of England. Lyrical and understated, the tape is a blend of imagery that combines the seemingly incongruous themes of a sensual celebration of the colour red and an indictment of mindless racist violence and hatred."
