Samira Bell qualified in medicine from Glasgow University in 1999. She underwent specialist renal training including a period of research in Glasgow obtaining the degree of MD from the University of Glasgow in 2007. She was appointed as a Consultant Nephrologist at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee in 2010 and was awarded a NHS research Scotland Career Researcher Fellowship from the Chief Scientist Office in 2013. Her research interests include Acute Kidney Injury and vascular access.
