Nicolas holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics from the University of Patras (2007), an M.Sc from University of Cyprus (2009), and a Ph.D from Cyprus University of Technology (2013). He joined ReDVA project as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow in January 2015, having previously work at the Institute of Applied & Computational Mathematics of the Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas (FORTH) on a postdoctoral fellowship.
Nicolas’ scientific and research interests lie on biomedical and biomechanical studies and applications. More specifically, he works in Patient Specific Modelling and in Haemodynamics area with the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The use of these techniques in the cardiovascular system aims to improve the understanding, diagnosis and treatment in clinical problems such as Carotid Artery Disease, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Intracranial Aneurysm and Renal Failure.
