I am in my first year as a PhD student at&nbsp;Dr.&nbsp;Banerjee&#8217;s lab in the Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have always been interested in medical oncology and cellular biology and how the interplay between these two can translate into new therapies for patients,\u202fand my research here focuses exactly on that. I am currently carrying out preclinical testing of a novel brain-penetrant drug to treat glioblastoma multiforme in collaboration with University of Arizona, USA and Mayo Clinic, USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am very grateful to be able to work on developing treatments for these debilitating diseases and for that I would like to thank the Ninewells Cancer Campaign for allowing me to do so.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m Vasudha, coming from San Diego, California, USA where I completed my BS in General Biology at the University of California, San Diego.
