{"id":16,"date":"2018-03-05T16:50:12","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T16:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.dev.dundee.ac.uk\/mindyourlanguage\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2026-04-09T16:43:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T15:43:10","slug":"welcome","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.dundee.ac.uk\/mindyourlanguage\/","title":{"rendered":"Language Production Lab"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome to the <strong>Language Production Lab <\/strong> within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dundee.ac.uk\/psychology\/\">Psychology<\/a> at the University of Dundee. &nbsp;This lab is directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dundee.ac.uk\/psychology\/staff\/profile\/alissa-melinger.php\">Dr. Alissa Melinger<\/a> and forms part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psycholinguistics.co.uk\" name=\"a_004\"> Language Research Centre<\/a>, which is dedicated to the pursuit, advancement, and dissemination of language research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My research is primarily focussed on how speakers find the words to best convey their meaning. To address this question, I study picture naming in different contexts, such as under distraction, in sets of other pictures, or in a particular social context.
