Whether you prefer early mornings, late nights, or something in between, the space is there for you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, 24\/7 opening&nbsp;isn\u2019t&nbsp;all positive. It gives you flexibility, but it can also lead to some less helpful habits if&nbsp;you\u2019re&nbsp;not careful.&nbsp;So&nbsp;here\u2019s&nbsp;a more honest look at both sides, along with a few ways to make it work for you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The good side of 24\/7<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study when it suits you<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Not everyone works best during the day. Having access around the clock means you can find the time that works for you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More space, less pressure<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>With people spread out across the day and night,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;often easier to find a space that suits how you like to study.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flexibility to build your own routine<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>You\u2019re not forced into one way of working \u2014 you can figure out what works best and stick to it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The not-so-great side (and how to deal with it)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Staying longer than you planned<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>It\u2019s easy to lose track of time and keep going, even when&nbsp;you\u2019re&nbsp;no longer being productive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What helps:<\/em>&nbsp;<br>Set a realistic finish time before you start and stick to it.&nbsp;There\u2019s&nbsp;a point&nbsp;where&nbsp;staying longer stops being useful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Pushing sleep aside<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Just because the&nbsp;Library&nbsp;is open all night&nbsp;doesn\u2019t&nbsp;mean you should be.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What helps:<\/em>&nbsp;<br>Think of sleep as part of your revision.&nbsp;You\u2019ll&nbsp;take in and&nbsp;retain&nbsp;far more if&nbsp;you\u2019re&nbsp;properly rested.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Everything starts to feel the same<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Same&nbsp;seat, same notes, same surroundings \u2014 it can get a bit draining.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What helps:<\/em>&nbsp;<br>Change your environment. Move floors, try a different space, or take a proper break away from your desk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Late nights and getting home safely<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Travelling late at night&nbsp;isn\u2019t&nbsp;always ideal, especially on your own.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What helps:<\/em>&nbsp;<br>If you can, leave with someone else or let someone know when&nbsp;you\u2019re&nbsp;heading off.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A few simple reminders<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take regular breaks \u2014 even short ones make a difference\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep hydrated and eat properly\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Don\u2019t\u00a0underestimate the value of stopping for the day\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Take a break when you need it<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to step away for a bit:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CreateSpace (Ground Floor)<\/strong>\u00a0<br>A chance to do something hands-on and switch off for a while\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Broughty Ferry Beach Club (Middle Floor)<\/strong>\u00a0<br>A quieter space to take a breather\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caf\u00e9 and kitchen areas<\/strong>\u00a0<br>Somewhere to grab a drink or something to eat\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We\u2019re&nbsp;here to support you<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exam time can feel full-on, but you&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;have to do it all in one go or on your own.
