Dissertation Take-off for Undergraduates – Monday 27th January to Friday 31st January 2025

Writing your undergraduate dissertation or project can be a daunting task. To help, the Academic Librarians and Academic Skills Service have created the Dissertation Take-off programme – a whole week dedicated to supporting you on your dissertation journey!

The Dissertation Take-off programme covers all the key information literacy and academic skills you need to successfully complete your thesis or project. It covers skills such as: planning; searching for resources; evaluation of sources; writing skills; and much more. Each session has a detailed description with all the key information. This will tell you what the session covers and if it is best suited to a particular subject or discipline.

Each session will be led by an Academic Librarian or a member of the Academic Skills Team. They will take you through all supporting resources available and show you where to find them. All sessions will be online and recorded. Recordings will be made available on the Library webpages after each session. You can book onto the sessions via the library webpages here: https://www.dundee.ac.uk/library/events
