We’re pleased to introduce a brand-new tablet loan scheme in the Main Library, designed to give staff and students quick, easy access to digital tools while you study or work in the building.
Meet the Hublets
We now have six tablets available to borrow using our Hublet system. Borrowing one is simple – just scan the barcode on your University of Dundee ID card, and you’re good to go.
The tablets are designed for use within the library and come preloaded with links to some of the most popular apps and websites used by students and staff. They also include access to two internet browsers, making them ideal for quick research, online reading, or catching up on coursework.
How long can I use one?
Each tablet can be borrowed for up to two hours. A countdown timer is displayed on the screen, so you’ll always know how much time you have left.
Returning your tablet
When you’re finished, simply place the tablet back into any free slot in the docking station. The system will automatically return the device and clear any data, so your information stays private.
Where to find them
The Hublets are located on the ground floor of the Main Library, next to the Search and Issue bar, making them easy to spot and even easier to use.
We’d love your feedback
This is a new service, and we’d really like to hear what you think. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please let a member of the Library Operations team know.
Whether you need a device for quick online access or just want to try something new, feel free to give the Hublets a go next time you’re in the Main Library.
