IWWWFB 2024 Local Transportation Shuttles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To assist with local travel, we have arranged a series of shuttles from Edinburgh Airport to Fairmont St Andrews and return, scheduled at times that serve the majority. Where possible, we have also arranged for drop-offs at Leuchars Train Station. If you would like to book the shuttles, please BOOK HERE<\/a> for the time that work bests for you. The submission deadline is Thursday, April 4th<\/strong>. There are various alternative ways to reach Fairmont St Andrews hotel from the airport or train station. Please see below for details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travel by Air<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The closest airport to St Andrews is the Edinburgh International Airport (EDI)<\/a>  with direct connection to many international cities. Alternative airports include Glasgow Airport (GLA)<\/a>  and Aberdeen airport (ABZ)<\/a> , both with many international connections. For most of the international participants, EDI will be the preferred airport; below you can find information on how to arrive to Fairmont St Andrew Resort from EDI. From Edinburgh Airport to Fairmont St Andrews Resort by Taxi<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There are many taxi services available from Edinburgh Airport to Fairmont St Andrews. The easiest options are the taxis readily available outside of the airport terminal at all times of the day. It is also possible to pre-book a taxi for pick-up directly from the airport. These include, for example, St Andrews Taxis<\/a>, Town and Country Taxis<\/a>, Davidson Taxi Transfers of St Andrews<\/a>, and the City Black Cabs<\/a>. From Edinburgh Airport to Fairmont St Andrews Resort by Train<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There is an Airport tram directly outside the Edinburgh airport which connects to Edinburgh Gateway Station (about a 10 minute journey). Tram information and ticket purchasing can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Edinburgh Gateway Station you can then catch a train to Leuchars Station (the closest station to St Andrews). For more information about all train services, please visit Scotrail<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
