Temperatures at 900 m OD fell from a balmy 7.0 C at 0130 GMT to -0.8 C three hours later, and down to -4.8 C at 2045 GMT.\u00a0 This brought to an end 3+ days of continuous snowmelt from all elevations across the catchment: a 10 mm rainfall at high altitude caused a brief further rise in the river, followed by a fall to levels quickly below the snowmelt levels of the past few days.\u00a0 Heavy snow is now forecast for all levels, so the river looks set to continue falling for some days.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/sci.ncas.ac.uk\/diven\/categories\/view\/13\/2017-12-07\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disdrometer data from Druim nam Bo<\/a> show snowflake diameters in excess of 8 mm.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_186\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-186\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-186\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.dundee.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/12\/Feshie-Bridge-20171207-300x127.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.dundee.ac.uk\/hydrology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/12\/Feshie-Bridge-20171207-300x127.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.dundee.ac.uk\/hydrology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/12\/Feshie-Bridge-20171207-768x324.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.dundee.ac.uk\/hydrology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2017\/12\/Feshie-Bridge-20171207.jpg 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-186\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Feshie Bridge hydrograph 4-7 Dec 2017.
