Guro Flinterud works as a researcher at the Norwegian Police University College. She holds an MA in cultural history and a PhD in media- and cultural studies, both from the University of Oslo. She has previously worked as a research communicator. Her previous research is grounded in the study of everyday life with a focus on media culture, combining qualitative methods such as ethnography, interview and document analysis. Research interests include Internet cultures, fan- and celebrity culture and human-animal relations.
Flinterud is currently working full time within the project. She will carry out the Norwegian part of work packages 2 and 3, dealing with the policy debate on online surveillance, and online behavior of regular citizens.
