Jacques Hartmann is Senior Lecturer at the School of Law, University of Dundee. Prior to joining Dundee University, he worked as Legal Advisor at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has taught international and human rights law at various universities around the world, including Copenhagen, Durham, Glasgow and Edinburgh University, as well as at the European Inter-University Institute for Human Rights and Democratization. In addition, he regularly teaches on an inter-disciplinary master’s programme at La Sabana University, Colombia. Jacques holds a PhD from Cambridge University, where he also worked as a Research Associate at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law. His research interests focus on general issues of public international law, particularly relating to security and human rights.
