Roles are available for application by all University of Dundee students, regardless of their experience and stage of study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do editors do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Editors are responsible for looking over and making changes to pieces submitted to the DSLR. Many new editors start off by focusing primarily on the grammar, spelling and general argument of a submission. It is perfectly fine if you are new to editing, as our current editors are always happy to give you a helping hand when you need it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who do we look for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General Editors\n<ul>\n<li>Most of the DSLR&#8217;s new editors come from 2nd year students or higher. This not only includes 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students, but also Postgraduate students. Editors will join the editorial board for the year and then be responsible for editing the pieces which come to the DSLR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>1st Year Editor\n<ul>\n<li>Every year, the DSLR recruits at least one first year student to give them invaluable experience of editing legal writing in a welcoming environment. We would urge all 1st Years to apply for this invaluable insight and an immediate boost to your CV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What do I need to do to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send all applications to law-studentreview@dundee.ac.uk, along with your name and year of study.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a0For General Editors applicants-<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Along with your application, we would like you to attach a 500 word excerpt from\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0any essay or legal writing piece you have written in the past year (such as any\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0coursework or other legal pieces).<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a01st Year\u00a0<\/em><i>Applicants<\/i><\/p>\n<p>For 1st Year applicants,\u00a0your application should include an excerpt of around 500\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0words from any writing piece you have recently completed- this can be on any topic,\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0so long as you demonstrate your writing skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications for 2022\/23 are now closed.
