Challenge Sponsor<\/h3>\nChallenge Sponsor<\/h3>\nThe Archie Foundation<\/a> is the official charity of Tayside’s Children’s Hospital which, is aiming to transform children’s health care experience in Dundee. \u00a0You might not have heard of Archie before but they were behind the highly successful Oor Wullie Bucket Trail in 2016.<\/a><\/p>\n The current focus of Archie’s fund raising efforts is on building a new operating theatre at the Tayside Children’s Hospital at Ninewells which links to this global health challenge.<\/p>\n “Anna Dewar is a healthy\u202f twelve year old girl. \u202fShe lives together \u202fwith her \u202fmum, two brothers and a sister \u202fin a flat \u00a0in\u202f Arbroath. She suffers from recurrent tonsillitis and has been placed on a waiting \u202flist to have \u202fher tonsils removed at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. \u202fShe has never been admitted to hospital before. Both \u202fshe and her \u202fmum \u202fare understandably quite anxious about the journey that lies ahead. Her\u202f mum\u202f has been given an information sheet, informing her that Anna\u2019s operation will be\u202f carried out in the new Children’s\u202f Surgical Unit at Ninewells.”<\/p>\n \u200bNinewells\u202f Hospital is \u202fin the process of building a new Children’s\u202f Theatre \u00a0Suite that will open in 2020. They \u202fhave architectural plans for the layout of the entrance, reception, waiting area, clinic rooms,\u202f and theatres and \u202fward spaces, but have a \u202freal need for you to help the Paediatric team \u202fco-design a \u202fwelcoming and engaging hospital experience for children and \u202ffamilies.
