Supporting Doctors to prove they are good enough to teach

Are all doctors automatically good teachers? Not necessarily, says the General Medical Council (GMC).

The GMC are now requiring all medical educators with a significant teaching role  to demonstrate that they are qualified and experienced enough to undertake these roles. They then accredit them as Recognised Trainers.

Jordan Napier and Claire MacRae describe a workshop that they designed to support medical educators in the process to become Recognised Trainers. This work was presented as a poster in the NHS Education for Scotland Medical Education Conference in April 2018. Click link below to see the poster
