Here we highlight some of the upcoming musical events to give you a taste of what is on offer.<\/p>\n<p>The Dundee Jazz Festival takes place from 20-24 November and as part of that on 23rd at 1.00pm the Chaplaincy is hosting a captivating lecture\/recital by Ruth Naomi Floyd looking at the intersection of music, justice, and protest in Frederick Douglass&#8217;s life and work. Douglass was an abolitionist, orator, author, reformer, women\u2019s rights advocate, and statesman.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning University Big Band will be closing the Festival in the Bonar Hall on the 24th at 19.00 and their line up of dynamic singers will this year feature special guest artist, Ruth Naomi Floyd.<\/p>\n<div performed a Missa Cantata at St Andrews Cathedral and on the 2nd November the Big Band and Swing Societies collaborated for a Halloween themed night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div
