This short MP4 was created in collaboration with the PGDE 18-19 (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) students from the school of Education and Social Work at University of Dundee. It comprises materials and images from their art and design workshops as well as their photographs of their primary children’s art and design work, from three placements over their intensive one year programme. My intention was to create a useful resource for them in their roles as Primary teachers, especially during their first year of teaching. Reminding them of workshop themes, approaches and materials, the MP4 also showcases a range of visual art and design work facilitated by their peers during placements in schools, so might encourage those less confident and suggest ideas for art and design projects or resources. Identifying the work with the primary class number by the images helps to give context. – Lucy Golden, Lecturer (School of Education and Social Work)
