Alessio Ciulli is designated as the winner of the 2015 EFMC Prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia.<\/p>\n
Alessio Ciulli of the Division of Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery has been awarded the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC) Prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia. This annual prize was established by the EFMC to acknowledge and recognise the work of outstanding young medicinal chemists (within 10 years of completion of a PhD) working in academia within Europe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The award consists of \u20ac 1.000 and an invitation to give a short presentation at the 6th EFMC International Symposium on Advances in Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ASMC\u201915), in Rehovot, Israel, on November 15-18, 2015.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s runners\u2013up were Matthew Fuchter of Imperial College London, and Beat Fierz of the EPFL, Switzerland.<\/p>\n
