During his PhD at the University of Adelaide in the lab of Assoc. Prof. John Bruning, he investigated the intrinsic functions of transcription factors using integrative experimental and computational structural biology approaches. He then subsequently\u00a0undertook a brief postdoctoral position with Dr Luke Isbel at the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI), where he worked on transcription factor-E3 ligase specificities, before joining the Ciulli lab.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Daniel has a strong interest in learning new (and cool) techniques, communicating research, and supporting colleagues in their research. In the Ciulli lab, he applies complementary computational and experimental approaches to structurally characterise interactions between E3 ligases and their substrates, with the aim of discovering new molecular glues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Outside of the lab, he loves hiking, mountain biking, and a good pint at the pub.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Degree(s) B.Sc.
